What Is The Origin Initiative?

It is a series of 3 in-person presentations that exist to give permission to Military, First Responder and Emergency Services personnel to take control of their well-being by hearing from others that have experienced it first hand.

Who Is It For?

Typically, these presentations are for the Military, First Responder and Emergency Services community.

However, the experiences and lessons within can also be beneficial to corporate clients, veteran groups, elite athletes or anyone with specialist or high performance workplaces that experience high levels of stress and pressure.

What Does An Engagement Look Like?

Each of the 3 in-person presentation is approximately 1.5 hours, delivered to your workplace and will walk an audience through the victim mindset of someone in a personal crisis (Chaos), to someone with clarity and the desire to implement change (Clarity), and finally to someone with the capacity to autonomously take control of their wellbeing (Capacity).

What Can You Expect To Get?

You will be given a no bullshit personal experience of the personal crisis many of us have been through, but more importantly, the mindset, strategies and tactics you can use to get far from that place.

This is not the tired, sterile and cliché approach to well-being that we are all used to. It is not a lengthy explanation of the science or study of ice baths and Keto diets, nor is it a series of self indulgent war stories.

It is the lived experience of someone who has walked in your shoes, seen the depths we can go to in our mental and physical selves and the damage that can be inflicted by a person at rock bottom.

What Topics Are Covered?

We will not shy away from topics such as childhood, identity, imposter syndrome, traumatic exposure, infidelity, organisational stress and the stepping stones that lead to suicide.

How Do We Get Started?

If you're workplace or community want a fresh take on the unique challenges you face in your role, contact me by email using the link below.

We can discuss timings, packages and all associated costs in order to help the people in your community.

We all know how bad it can get. We’ve all seen people in our community die by suicide or live a life of pain and misery.

Let’s take true ownership of our own lives and community, without the blame and without the punishment.

Chaos

This is where I will outline the common held misconceptions in our community about the personal crisis and suicide epidemic we are in. It is based off my lived experience over years of working in the Australian Army, overseas deployments, divorce, depression, suicide and transitioning out of the military into the business world.

I will most definitely walk you through the lows of the experience, but also the valuable lessons that almost cost me my life, so that you don’t have to learn them the hard way.

Clarity

In this presentation I explain how the mix of identity, trauma and stress accumulate over time and how repeated exposure can cause self-destructive habits, interpersonal conflict and internal crisis.

More importantly, I will walk you through how to understand each of these components so you can implement some strategies and tactics to get your life back on track.

Capacity

The last piece of a complex puzzle is having the capacity to change. The capacity to choose how you answer the fundamental question, “am I worth it”? Only your actions will dictate whether you have truly decided to cut off from your previous beliefs and behaviours and adapt a new mindset.

I will outline some of the mindset shifts I was forced to make in order to actually implement the tactics that I cover in this final presentation. I truly believe that you are worth it, which is why I have decided to share these learnings and will never stop serving the community and the people that I know deserve it.
