Slip Collar

This hand made piece of K9 gear will be ready within 4 weeks. 

The Slip Collar is a K9 training collar that will tighten and loosen in proportion to your dog's pulling or your own manipulation of the leash. 

We use a smaller snap clip for attachment to the running ring so you can clip up like a regular collar. That means no dragging a tight slip collar over your dogs face. 

The toggle can be moved up or down the collar to avoid excess size slipping or to make adjustments between dogs. 

The slip collar can be the perfect alternative to a prong/pinch collar, especially if your agency, state or country laws prohibit that equipment.

Attaching the Slip Collar to your dog

Take the snap clip off the O-ring. 

Place the open Slip Collar under your dog's neck and attach the snap clip to the O-ring. Ensure the opening side to face up so you have access to the clip when needed. 

Move the Slip Collar as high on your dog's neck so it is close to the base of the skull and adjust it to fit snug.

Ensure you can still get 1 or 2 fingers underneath so the collar is not 'activated' and choking your dog. 

Adjusting the size

Your Slip Collar will come adjusted to the maximum size.

Identify the toggle on the cord.

Squeeze down from the top and bottom to release the tension and slide the toggle. 

To tighten, slide the toggle away from the loop at the end, and towards the dog.

To loosen, slide to toggle towards the loop at the end, away from the dog. 

Attaching to Leads

The Slip Collar can be used with the standard snap clip or with the Kong Frog Clip. 

When attaching the Kong from clip, ensure the 2 sides have locked into position before use. The fit will be tight, but once fit, it will stay in place.
